Before the Appointment

Unless your clinician gives different instructions, eat a light meal and drink water before the appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to your arm. Choose a clean, well-lit area with a chair or couch and enough space for the nurse's supplies.

When Your Nurse Arrives

Your nurse will confirm your identity, review your screening information and explain the planned infusion. Vital signs may be checked according to protocol. This is the right time to ask questions about ingredients, expected timing and what you might feel during treatment. You will be asked to provide consent before the IV is started.

IV Placement and Infusion

The nurse will select an appropriate vein, clean the skin and insert a small IV catheter. You may feel a brief pinch. After the Infusion

When the infusion is complete, the nurse will remove the catheter and apply light pressure and a bandage. Mild tenderness or bruising can occur at an IV site. Follow the aftercare instructions you receive, continue normal hydration as appropriate and contact the team if you have concerns. Seek urgent care for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
